One of the most anticipated fixtures of the latest World Cup Group Stage action ended without goals, but certainly not without drama.

Ghana and England played out an intense 0-0 draw in a match that saw the Black Stars defend resolutely against constant pressure from the Three Lions.

England dominated possession for large periods and searched relentlessly for a breakthrough, but Ghana’s defensive organisation proved difficult to break down.

The Black Stars also looked dangerous on the counterattack and created moments that kept England alert throughout the contest.

The match was not without controversy. Discussions after the final whistle centered around several key moments, including a penalty appeal and a potential red card incident involving the England goalkeeper.

Despite the talking points, neither side could find the decisive goal.

The result leaves both Ghana and England on four points as the World Cup Group Stage race remains finely balanced heading into the final round of matches.

Croatia 1-0 Panama: European Side Keeps Hopes Alive

Croatia entered the match knowing that anything less than victory would place their World Cup future in serious doubt.

Panama were equally desperate for points after losing their opening fixture, setting the stage for a tense encounter.

While both teams searched for a breakthrough, Croatia eventually found the goal they needed to secure a crucial 1-0 victory.

For Panama, the defeat means elimination from the tournament with one group-stage match still to play.

For Croatia, however, qualification hopes remain alive as the World Cup Group Stage approaches its decisive phase.

Colombia 1-0 DR Congo: Persistence Pays Off

At Guadalajara Stadium, Colombia were forced to work hard for all three points against a determined DR Congo side.

The South Americans created numerous opportunities throughout the match, but the Congolese goalkeeper produced a series of impressive saves to keep his team in the contest.

For much of the evening, it appeared that DR Congo’s resistance might earn them a valuable point.

However, Colombia finally found the breakthrough in the 76th minute when D. Muñoz converted the chance that ultimately decided the match.

The narrow victory keeps Colombia moving in the right direction as the World Cup Group Stage continues.

Final Whistle

As the World Cup Group Stage enters a critical stage, every match is carrying greater significance.

Ghana earned a valuable point against England, Croatia kept their tournament hopes alive, and Colombia showed patience to overcome a resilient DR Congo side.

With qualification and elimination now on the line, the drama of the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues to build.
