The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has achieved a historic milestone on the international military stage, as the Army Special Operations Brigade (ASOB) clinched a Silver Medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2026 in the United Kingdom.

The remarkable achievement makes Ghana the first African country to have a patrol team earn this distinction in the prestigious international military exercise, marking a significant moment for Ghanaian military excellence and Africa’s representation in global military competitions.

Exercise Cambrian Patrol is a demanding military exercise that tests participating teams on leadership, teamwork, endurance, tactical competence, navigation and decision making under challenging conditions.
